The Hampton Inn Cooperstown consistently receives positive reviews, praised for its cleanliness, modern rooms, and friendly staff. Guests frequently highlight the convenient location near the Baseball Hall of Fame and the included breakfast. While some minor improvements to breakfast variety and bathroom amenities have been suggested, the overall experience is considered excellent.

This is a newer hotel with clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, and a better than average fitness center. Breakfast was always ready at or before 6:00 am. I hope to stay there again if I am in the area.

Hospitable, clean, choice. Great front desk people. Great breakfast buffet Have stayed here & suggest to others. Congrats to Corporate for taking a FIRM, STRONG, STAND about ICE not being allowed at a Hampton Inn. You did the right thing and for us, Hampton Inns will remain our first choice anyplace we reavel. Thanks again And don't give in, EVER Carl L

A great hotel experience here. Very very quiet area and hotel. Excellent service from when I checked in online the hotel text me to ask if I needed anything and responded promptly when I did ask a question. Breakfast service from 6am-10am was a great selection of food. The room had 2 Queen sized beds and a nice flat screen TV. There was a microwave and mini fridge along with a individual coffee cup maker. Plenty of lighting in the room and the floors and bathroom were spotless. Bathroom has a walk-in shower. I highly recommend this place to stay if you're in town to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame or for any of reasons you may be in this area

I stayed here when attending the Away From Home Festival at Ommegang Brewery. Got back to hotel around midnight extremely hungry. Bought microwaveable Mac and cheese from food place in lobby and worker in lobby got me hot water to cook it in. Great clean rooms, delicious breakfast, incredible staff. I'll come back just to stay here. One of my best hotel experiences in years!

This beautiful new hotel is located just south of the village and convenient to the entire area including the Field of Dreams area. The hotel was very clean and accommodating. The staff appeared to be cross trained so that they could cover for one another throughout the day. The breakfast was adequate. Staff was just the friendliest, nicest group of people.

Stayed in October ‘25. The property seemed relatively new. The rooms were modern and clean. One of the nicer Hampton Inn’s we have stayed in. Breakfast was included and was pretty decent, what you would expect in a Hampton inn. Pool was good, no hot tub. Lots of parking. The location is about 8-10 mins from Cooperstown and the HOF. Seemed like a short drive in reality. The Dugout Bar right next door was not open yet when we stayed. We ate down the street at Osteria and Update, both great.

A beautiful hotel set back from the road with perfect view of the sunset over the mountains. The hotel is newer, so everything is fresh and clean, the office staff is professional and courteous, the bathroom is spacious, the beds are comfortable, cleanliness is on point - we had no complaints about anything! The cleaning staff did a first rate of taking care of our room. Any request we had was met with immediate attention. Stay here!

If you are looking for a hotel near the Hall of Fame, I would recommend this one. The employees were very friendly. I wish the breakfast would have had turkey sausage instead of just pork, but other than that it was very good. Now, you are wondering why I gave the place 1 star. I left the cord to my Cpap machine in the room. I called the next morning and a man verified the cord and my son's crocs were there too. I offered to pay for overnight shipping as the cord controls my breathing machine. I was told to contact Raymond the general manage by email. He never responded. I called back a day later and the same man said they would send it out. Ten days later, still no package. Please check your room for items before leaving. They act like I'm the only one who left something at that hotel

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Cooperstown, and while the property itself was generally clean and updated, there were several issues with housekeeping, service, and professionalism that made my stay far from ideal. Housekeeping & Supplies: On the first night of check-in, there was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower—both bottles were completely empty. I wasn’t overly concerned at first because I had brought small travel sizes with me, assuming housekeeping would restock during their next visit. However, when housekeeping did come, they still didn’t refill anything. I ended up going to the front desk to request shampoo and conditioner, and while they gave me large replacement bottles, I soon ran out of hand soap and body wash as well. When I inquired at the front desk again, I was told a note would be left for housekeeping to replace them the next day. That never happened. This left us with four extra large bottles in the bathroom and still no consistent supply. We also ran out of tissues, but I opted to buy a box from the Dollar General next door just to avoid another round of requests. Towels: Given that the majority of guests here are baseball families, the hotel’s policy of only changing towels every other day is impractical. We were at dusty, dirty baseball fields all day and often needed to shower twice a day. When I asked for towels, I was told my room wasn’t on the schedule for that day. I explained our situation, but the solution I was offered was to bring my dirty towels down the hall to exchange for clean ones. It would make sense for the hotel to accommodate daily towel changes for baseball families during peak season. Personal Belongings: One particularly frustrating incident occurred when housekeeping mistakenly threw away a Dollar General shopping bag containing about $40 worth of items—new socks, hair ties, and candies—despite the fact it was left on a chair with tags still on, far from the trash. Professionalism: The breakfast staff was hardworking and kept the food area well stocked. However, I witnessed a concerning situation in the lobby. As I was leaving one morning, I overheard a manager loudly reprimanding an employee at the front desk, telling her to wipe tables or risk losing her job. The employee was visibly upset and in tears, while guests in the lobby could hear the entire exchange. Feedback of that nature should be given privately, not in a public setting where it embarrasses the employee and creates discomfort for guests. Room & Amenities: The shower had only two settings: one with extremely low water pressure that made rinsing shampoo out a 30-minute ordeal, and another with a high-pressure but very narrow spray pattern. The mattresses were extremely firm, to the point where I woke up sore each morning. Overall: While the building appeared clean and up to date in common areas, the combination of inadequate housekeeping, lack of guest accommodation, and unprofessional behavior from management left a poor impression. Unfortunately, I would most likely not choose to stay here again.

I think that overall this place was a great stay. Whenever the rooms were refreshed they were so kind to make sure my kids stuffed animals were placed in the bed as well lined up :). They helped at any time and answered any questions we had. I think that some people should follow a dress code though ( a few workers I noticed) Tammy was a big help in the breakfast area. There were a couple front desk ladies that were always helpful. Breakfast was pretty much the same, It would have been nice to have less scrambled eggs and more omelettes and also more bacon. Sometimes the bananas were not good and oatmeal ( depends on who’s working if it’s dry or good) we were there a couple weeks so you got used to who makes it best.
