Lake 'N Pines Motel offers a lakeside retreat with comfortable rooms and scenic views, particularly appealing for families and groups attending events in the Cooperstown area. While generally clean and well-maintained, some guests have reported noise disturbances and a lack of amenities like breakfast.
Our organization had a business meeting and had 10 rooms and a cottage. Scott was amazing coordinating dates and the meeting space. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had great views. It was a pleasant relaxing space for a conference. Thank you Scott and your staff!
Our family had 5 rooms for a reunion weekend. All rooms very clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice large deck with chairs by the lakeside. We used the picnic area with views of the lake to sit and talk quietly. . Great value for an excellent experience in the Cooperstown area. Motel is within 10 miles of family friendly activities.
My family recently booked 5 rooms for a family reunion vacation.Wide variety of rooms to choose from. All of them very clean with comfortable beds. Some have beautiful views of Otsego Lake and mountains. One cottage has its own patio lakeside. Also a group of picnic tables is available for sitting outside together. There is a raised patio with many chairs at lakeside. Beautiful and peaceful place. The staff is knowledgeable about the area and pleasant and helpful.
Romantic, very basic but nice. It was clean. A quiet place to enjoy nature and the lake. Cooperstown is a few miles away, you definitely need a car. Be careful, deers crossing. Check in was nice. We had a room with lake view and private balcony. Notice : NO breakfast at the hotel! I'd highly recommend "Sunflower Café" for breakfast, 3 minutes down the road.
Rooms have been recently renovated, except for the bathroom, which was quite plain. Toilet extremely close to the floor, not great for tall people. Four pillows per queen size bed, which is more than most motels offer. Mattresses were quite firm. Wonderful views, entire site is perched right on the edge of the lake. Hot tub and pool are very nice. Game room was underwhelming: 1 pinball machine, a pool table, and a couple of random games. No actual arcade games.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy. Pool was clean. Service was fine. We only requested service twice over the week long stay and they were prompt. The location is amazing... 20min drive to Cooperstown Dreams Park (our reason for staying) and enjoyed being on the lake. Only negatoves... no breakfast or laundry facilities in site, but there is a laundromat in Cooperstown.
This was our first family vacation with our 8 month old. They put a pack n play in the room for us, which was already opened and set up with a baby blanket and sheet! This is something you do not fined many places. Customer service at the location was great and they know the area. Also very very clean pools and spacious rooms. Highly recommend for those staying with young children.
We booked a three night stay here to use as a home base for some activities we had planned. The hotels in Cooperstown were mostly booked, or very expensive and this was a reasonable alternative even though we knew we’d have to drive 10 minutes into town. The first day we were there was fine. The parking was good and the room was very clean. Little did we know some of that would change. If you aren’t familiar with Cooperstown Dreams Park, be sure to check the schedule before planning a trip to Cooperstown, unless you’re there for a baseball tournament (which apparently our entire motel was). It will make your time there very difficult. All the shops will be clogged, and the Hall of Fame will be mobbed. Our motel was basically empty all day and you could come or go as you please. But at around 9:00pm it would get completely full with cars parked everywhere, even in places there weren’t any spots. There would be car doors slamming, kids screaming and playing, and adults drinking and talking until well after 11:00pm. This happened every night. It was extremely annoying, especially when you’re woken up from a sound sleep. So if you want to pay a bunch of money to sleep on a crappy mattress and be woken up by pretentious baseball families every night. I highly recommend staying here! Also, it was just far enough outside of Cooperstown to be annoying whenever you wanted a bite to eat or a warm breakfast. It was a one and done for us.
