My stay at The Otesaga Resort Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The property is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and every detail feels thoughtfully curated. But what truly elevated my experience was the outstanding service from the staff — especially Jennyra, Tamara, and Julia. Each of them went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Jennyra was incredibly attentive and made me feel genuinely welcomed. We shared beautiful memories about the coqui frog (and the beautiful story behind it) which we both had in common and made us feel like we were right at home. Tamara provided service that was both warm and polished, anticipating needs before I even voiced them. And Julia brought a level of professionalism and kindness that made every interaction a pleasure. Their dedication, hospitality, and genuine care set a standard that other resorts should aspire to. Because of them, my visit wasn’t just enjoyable — it was unforgettable. I look forward to returning soon.

One of the greatest vacations we've been on. The Otesaga Hotel and staff are wonderful. The Leather Stocking Golf course was one of the very best we've ever played. The meals were outstanding. I recommend this Resort to everyone.

Went to a wedding there over the weekend. The staff that served food and drinks were pretty good. The furniture and rooms in this place are old and outdated and need to be updated. I’m so glad I didn’t stay in their overpriced rooms, they’re such a ripoff, they should be half the price. This place is far from a “resort”. The nicest thing about it is the view on the lake.

Truly lovely staff, fantastic stay start to finish. Check in was seamless, and I even texted the hotel in advance to see if my room was ready! The rooms are classically lovely, with free coffee and water and comfortable beds. The hotel uses Beekman bath products, an upstate NY product that smells lovely. Food in the banquet hall was fantastic, and the wait staff is just stellar. The grounds are lovely and the hotel is a few steps from "downtown" Cooperstown. I'm so happy I stayed here!

Resort was beautiful! Check in with Ande was quick and easy. Our room was beautiful with nice furnishings and a comfortable mattress for my 40 year old back! We only stayed one night but we will definitely come back! It's about a 10 minute walk to the Hall of Fame from the hotel.

Wonderful! It's a beautiful historic hotel that is both sophisticated and glamorous without coming across as uptight. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcomed. I think it was obvious from our attire and our car that we aren't in the same tax bracket as their usual clientele, but they treated us like we were royalty nonetheless. I found the front desk staff bubbly and joyful. The concierge went the extra mile to ensure our room enhancements exceeded expectations, and met with me upon check-in to go over the details together. The door and baggage manager was phenomenal and treated my flower bouquet with the utmost care! I believe we received a bargain for two nights in their Grand Suite plus the enhancements, and I'd certainly book the room again if I could.

I had an incredible experience at 1909 Steakhouse and can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, setting the tone for a great evening. Brian, the manager, truly stood out—he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s clear he takes pride in running a top-notch restaurant and making guests feel valued. Our server, Carla, was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our drinks and meals were always just right. The food was just as impressive as the service. The crispy oysters were perfectly cooked with a great crunch and flavor, the dry-aged steak was rich, tender, and cooked to perfection, and the crab cake was packed with flavor and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. Between the exceptional service and the amazing food, this place truly stands out. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience.

We stayed with my wife for 3 nights just for a break. We had a Suite with Lake view. The room was great although the heating was slow to warm the space. We asked for extra blankets that solved the problem. The TV was totally infuriating so we gave up. The staff were great all together.As an advice or heads up to future visitors , make sure when you ask for reservations to either the Hawkeye or the 1909, INSIST on the time you want to dine and do not take any other times they give you. We asked for 6pm and 6,30pm respectively and they "were fully booked". We took the hours they gave us and we were eating alone. We complained and the manager came profusely apologizing but that didn't help. Unfortunately that left a bitter taste to us, so we decided not to eat there again and found other very nice , busy and bustling restaurants. Overall the hotel was great. Shame on that experience we had.

This past fall, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Otesaga Resort Hotel. The Otesaga's exceeded my expectations! The staff was excellent, the food was amazing, and the location was the perfect backdrop for this couple to become husband and wife. I would recommend this venue to anyone who loves the history of Cooperstown, the unique charm of the hotel, and anyone who wants an amazing wedding experience. I was blown away at how kind the staff was to me personally, and I look forward to capturing many more weddings here in the future!

Our stay at The Otesaga Resort Hotel was beyond amazing — truly one of the best hotel experiences you could ever have. They take care of every detail and spoil you like you’re family. Dawn, who works there, goes completely above and beyond — she personally made sure every detail to surprise my husband was met, which meant the world to us. And honestly, every single staff member does the same. No matter where you see them or what they’re doing, everyone is kind, professional, and amazing. Many of the staff have been there for over ten years, which really says everything about this place. They treat everyone with respect, they appreciate you, and you genuinely feel it. The coffee shop in the lobby has the best coffee and pastries. I love grabbing my coffee, sitting by the fireplace, and just relaxing — it’s pure peace. This hotel makes you feel cared for in a way that’s hard to describe. It’s simply the best place to go, worth every cent, and somewhere we’ll keep coming back to again and again. ?
