The Holiday Inn Express Oneonta consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its cleanliness, modern rooms, and friendly service. While some guests have noted minor housekeeping issues and privacy concerns, the majority highlight the hotel’s convenient location near shopping and dining, as well as the responsive staff, especially during group bookings. It's a solid option for travelers visiting the area.
We stayed here for Cooperstown baseball tournament in Dreams Park. The drive was fine, under 25 minutes. Being close to food and shopping was a must for us and this location offered it. The hotel itself is well kept and clean, quiet, complimentary breakfast till 10am. 1 washer $2/load and dryer $1/load in laundry. Coffee, water, tea and hot chocolate available throughout the day! Great service!
Great Location... hotel must be new or newly renovated. Room is very spacious and modern. I've been a IHG member for over 10yrs and this Location is definitely a top 5. It also helps that plenty of retail stores in the area and restaurants. If ever back in the area, I'll definitely be booking another stay!
Thanks to Stefania and the team at Holiday Inn Express Oneonta. I brought a group of 21 teenagers from Brooklyn on a College Tour and we stayed overnight at the HIEO. Stefania was very resposnive, kind, and accomadating. They made everystage easy and communicated effienciently. She and her team were patient when we were slow to reply. The hotel feels so new. The rooms, halls, common areas and pool were very clean. The staff were welcoming and kind. The continental breakfast was fine but the coffee machines were always available as was orange-infused water. This was afforadble and top notch service. We were up the hill from strip malls with access to Buffalo Wild Wings, Wendys, BJ's and a dozen other businesses. This was a 5 star experience at an express hotel. Highly Recommend.
Staff is very helpful and friendly! Everything is clean. Central location. I have found Holiday Inn Express to be solid hotel to stay at overall. The only minor thing that could be updated is the tv. Just basic channels. There was no access to stream anything if that’s important to you. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean rooms, bathrooms dining area. Ample parking, very friendly and accommodating staff
Stayed for 3 nights. The front desk workers were very kind, the breakfast attendant was also very kind. No issues there. The one and only major issue i experienced is my privacy was not respected. I work overnight shifts. On my 2nd day staying I arrived back to the hotel around 9:30am after a 10 hour shift. Ate breakfast quickly and went back to my room to sleep. I quickly fell asleep with the blinds shut to block some of the sun light. A couple hours into my sleep I was woken up by my room door slamming shut which shocked me. I got up to see that room service came into my room while I WAS ASLEEP. they opened the blinds, moved things around, and cleaned the bathroom. While I appreciate those things getting done it was very unsettling to know they did not knock or if they did I did not hear it. And when they entered the room and saw me sleeping they should have left. I had the “not ready yet” sign on my door. As an overnight worker trying to get some sleep during the day I felt violated and very uncomfortable. Edit to add-Reservation was Jan 26th-28th, booked under Kenneth S, stayed on the 2nd floor.
Checked out this morning. Honestly one of the worst stays I've ever had ANY hotel. Started off with the sassy front desk guy being extremely rude, he acted bothered to get off his cell phone and check us in never said hello, how are you or even thank you. Fast forward to 4am when someone opened our door! No one is cleaning rooms at 4am and if another customers key card worked on my door thats a MAJOR saftey issue. This morning we went down for the free breakfast, it had old hard cold "omelets" sausage and bacon were both empty, this was at 8:20am, I looked around to find an employee to hear a white tall thin male employee speaking to a Spanish employee saying "you have esposa? You share Esposa?? Yeah all you Mexicans share your esposa's" Esposa means wife in spanish, the employee was asking the other employee if he shares his wife, beyond disgusting to hear as a customer, I did bring this to the attention of the front desk clerk who did apologize but it was very clear the white male was harassing the spanish speaking employee, and it was clear the spanish employee was uncomfortable and his face was red and he was backing away. Holiday Inn express you have major saftey issues with room security and who you employ.
Very nice place. I called in the evening just a few days before staying and the service over the phone was first class and very courteous. When we arrived the check in was very easy and first class. Everyone was very cordial and made us feel very comfortable. The whole place was very clean and well kept. Even the housekeeping staff was very nice. Every one at this establishment was very accommodating cordial and 1st class. The stay was wonderful. One of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have had in quite a few years.
The front end staff here was FANTASTIC. I wish I had got the name of the lady working the front desk during our stay but we loved her (evening of 8/22 and 8/23). The breakfast was good, typical continental breakfast foods. The rooms were nice, although housekeeping could be improved. There were handprints on windows, black smudges on walls and a piece of hair in the shower. The beds were clean though and it was comfortable. The outdoor patio space was our favorite (we spent 7 hours out there on our second night). Overall I would stay here again.
